This is among the oldest text forms in the HS. It contains many archaic terms and structures. It employs anthropomorphic language (“your right hand,” “the blast of your nostrils”) but it emphasizes ḤESED (15:13) and the sovereignty of YHWH not only over the sea, but over the people of the lands as well.
